Private
“Data Not Collected.”
The App Store privacy label, verbatim.
BookSafe has no servers of its own. Your library lives on your device and syncs only through your own private iCloud — which we cannot see into. And you can leave whenever you like: export as CSV or PDF.
- No account, no sign-upNo email address, no password, nothing to create — and neither ads nor analytics in the app.
- iPhone and iPad, always in syncThrough Apple’s CloudKit in your private iCloud. You can turn the sync off in iOS Settings.
- Only the ISBN leaves your deviceWhen looking up book data, with no user identifier attached. Everything else works offline, too.
Today
Your reading day at a glance

- A new, curated quote of the day — in a card design that changes daily.
- Two columns on iPad — with “Coming Up” and “Recently Finished”.

Series
Series that finally add up
- Scan an ISBN — title, author, cover, publisher and more are fetched automatically from several book databases.
- Series are grouped automatically — see which volume you're missing and add it in the edition you prefer.
- Special volumes like “book 8.5” are sorted correctly, too.

Who is behind BookSafe
A family in southern Germany. The father writes the code, the mother proofreads every line and finds the mistakes nobody else does, and their daughter collects book series — the fact that series detection gets even “book 8.5” right is down to her standards. The release-day fireworks were her idea, too.
There is no account and no tracking, and that was never a product decision — it was a family decision.
The full story is in the press kit.
